Cantu Mayor Again

Business as usual in Plainsboro, as the township committee voted to reappoint Pete Cantu as mayor and Neil Lewis as deputy mayor. This will be Cantu’s 42nd year on committee and 36th year as mayor.

Lewis and committee member Nuran Nabi ran unopposed in November and were sworn in at the meeting.

Cantu, committee member Ed Yates, Joseph Greer, Prakash Sachdev, and Gary Wolinctz (Alternate 1) were appointed to the Planning Board. Joan Denzer and Vidya Prasad were appointed to the Zoning Board

Committee member David Bander will serve as liaison to the Cable TV Advisory Committee.

Township officials who were also reappointed include attorney Michael Herbert, public defender Robert Schwartz, prosecutor Craig Hubert, engineer David J. Samuel, tax appeal counsel Harry Haushalter, tax appeal counsel for corporate facilities Richard Conley, labor counsel Mark Ruderman, and planner Shirley Bishop.
