The gallery of Plainsboro Recreation and Cultural Center will present an exhibit featuring the works by the Plainsboro Chinese calligraphy class led by Michael Shiue. It will include many examples of five major scripts of Chinese calligraphy such as seal, clerical, standard, semi-cursive, and cursive, all done by students and instructor. The show runs Tuesday, August 11, to Tuesday, August 25. An art reception will be held Saturday, August 15, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The class is offered through the Department of Recreation and Community Service of Plainsboro Township. It is held on Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. Shiue, a well-known calligrapher in the area, has demonstrated Chinese calligraphy at many area libraries and high schools, Mercer County Community College, Grounds of Sculpture, and private events. He has been a dedicated contributor to the Plainsboro Library Chinese New Year programs and its annual Fall Arts Festival.
