Linda Principe of Plainsboro is the 2005 Business Woman of the Year in New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO). The highest honor presented by the organization, the award was presented at the annual state awards dinner May 25 in Atlantic City. She was nominated by the Mercer Chapter of NJAWBO, where she was Women Business Owner of the Year. The only person nominated from two chapters, she received the same award from the Middlesex Chapter in 1999.

Principe has owned and operated Linda Principe Interiors for 17 years. She is certified as a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) by the NJ Commerce & Economic Growth Commission, and has been featured in Window Fashions Magazine (a national industry publication), on WCBS Radio Small Business Report, Cable TV Comcast Newsmakers, and WCTC Talk Radio.

She has been active in NJAWBO since joining the organization in 1989. She has held numerous positions on the chapter and state board of directors, including past president of the Middlesex Chapter. She is also a member of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Window Coverings Association of America.
