Thousands of books will be available for purchase at the Friends of the West Windsor Library annual book sale beginning Tuesday, March 2, 6 to 9 p.m. Admission charge for opening night is $10 per person or $25 for up to four immediate family members. Members get in free and membership will be available at the door. Most books are 50 cents to one dollar.

The Friends of the West Windsor Library have been collecting hardbacks paperbacks, cookbooks, children’s books, fiction, non-fiction, text books, reference materials, CDs, DVDs, and videos. The event is chaired by Sylvia Russo and Pat Huie.

The sale runs through the week including Wednesday and Thursday, March 3 and 4, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Friday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, March 6, the sale will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Minikin the Clown will be entertaining and face painting from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Sunday, March 7, is box and bag day from 12:30 to 4 p.m.; $2 for a grocery bag and $4 for a box.

“Proceeds fund programs at the library, particularly the children’s program, children and teen summer reading programs, teen program, and adult programs,” says Irene Hoyt, president of the organization.
