Jordan Carroll, 10, of West Windsor was the grand prize winner in Oh No So Ho’s “Best Mom Contest.” He received a $100 gift certificate to the Southfield Shopping Center store. His essay begins, “Some moms are soccer moms, other moms are stay home moms, a lot of moms are good moms, but my mom is the BEST mom. His mom is Beth Carroll.

Winners selected in each age group who received a $10 gift certificate include Danielle Berger, 3; Rebecca Bershad, 4; Julia Bahash, 5; Maddie Hays, 6; Julia Flynn, 7; Rachel Goldfinger, 8; Elizabeth Maxey, 9; Abby Stern, 10; Amanda Clayton, 11; and Hannah Leventhal, 12.

All of the participants received a gift certificate for pizza and soda from McCaffrey’s.

Judges included Joe Pica, West Windsor police chief; John Staszak, manager of McCaffrey’s; and Al Swingle, owner of Al’s Sunoco. The store is owned by Cindy Sauber of West Windsor.
