The grand prize winner in the OH NO SO HO second annual Best Mom contest is Haley Mann, 8, of West Windsor. She received a $100 gift certificate and $50 cash. More than 45 children participated in the event. Their stories, poems, and artwork were displayed on the windows of the Southfield Shopping Center store for the entire month preceding the judging.
$10 gift certificates were awarded to Jared Panson, 5; Remy Hebert, 6; Maddy Hayes, 7; Nicholas Kerins, 8; Ross Chapman, 9; Andrew Kerins, 10; Summer Abiad, 11; and Annie Bonazzi, 12. All entrants received a coupon for free ice cream from Emack & Bolio of West Windsor.
Judges included Joe Pica, West Windsor chief of police; Karl Grabner, manager of McCaffreys; and Al Swingle, owner of Al’s Sunoco. They chose the winners for their depictions of their moms as the “Best Mom.”
