In honor of fathers and sportsmen everywhere, sports photographer Dick Druckman will be holding his annual father’s day sale and exhibit at Gold Medal Impressions Gallery from Tuesday, June 1, through Saturday, June 19 — just in time to surprise someone on Father’s Day morning with a split-second action photo of his favorite sports hero or event.
“My goal is to capture the most exciting moments of the most meaningful sporting events in an effort to offer others an inspirational image that lasts forever,” says Druckman, a longtime West Windsor resident.
If dad is a Yankee, Mets, or Phillies fan, it will be difficult to select just one from the gallery’s vast collection. Customers will receive up to 33 percent discount on all purchases and a free 16X20 matted photo of their choice. Ten percent of the sale’s proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics New Jersey.
Photos, available as matted or framed photos in a range of sizes and prices, come from a new inventory featuring exciting moments from the 2009 Superbowl, the World Series, and High Schools North and South. Druckman has captured the excitement of the opening games, the first pitches, the homeruns, and the grand slams at each new ballpark, including the top World Series and playoff moments at Yankee Stadium and Citizens Bank Park.
“This year, it’s more than meaningful that we are able to offer Special Olympics New Jersey a percent of the proceeds from our annual sale,” says Druckman. “Having shot some incredible photos at 10 Olympic Games, I can attest that nothing beats the uplifting moments of the Special Olympics or the inspiring determination of those who compete in them.”
