Emily Schuit, daughter of Ronda and Michael Schuit of West Windsor, became a Bat Mitzvah at Congregation Beth Chaim on April 30. As part of Emily’s community service obligation, she organized and performed in a music recital for the senior citizens at the Windows-Chancellor Park Assisted Living Facility in Plainsboro, which was the home of her late great-grandparents, Barney and Sylvia Weinger. Emily also assisted her brother Adam in constructing a portable Torah Ark for the Beth Chaim Temple Youth (BCTY) group for Adam’s Eagle Scout Service Project.

Emily, a seventh grader at the Community Middle School (CMS), plays on the CMS girls’ soccer and softball teams, and starred in the CMS March production of “The Sound of Music,” as Marta, one of the Von Trapp children. Emily will be spending eight weeks this summer attending Camp Pierce-Birchmont in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
