Ballet preview set for March 7

American Repertory Ballet’s artistic director is scheduled to discuss the company’s upcoming performances March 7.

The program is set for 7:30 p.m. at Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon Street, Princeton.

Douglas Martin will discuss the concept for this adaption of Romeo and Juliet and the Rites of Spring.He previously performed these works with the ARB and The Joffrey Ballet.

At the event, dancers of ARB will perform excerpts from both ballets. Following Martin’s presentation, there will be question and answer session.

Rite of Spring premieres during ARB’s In Full Bloom program scheduled for 8 p.m. March 23 at The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College, 118 Lamington Road, Branchburg.

Performances of Romeo and Juliet are set for 7 p.m. April 12 and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 13 at Union County PAC’s Hamilton Stage for the Performing Arts, 360 Hamilton Street, Rahway.
