Jinny Baeckler, Plainsboro Library Director, was named New York Times’ Librarian of the Year. She received a $2,”500 prize and plaque in a ceremony at the Times Square office.

A librarian on and off since her undergraduate days at Cornell University, she has been director of the Plainsboro Library since 1991. In 1993 she moved the present library from a two-room schoolhouse and is now planning a future move to a three-story structure in Plainsboro’s Town Center.
