June graduates, Maria Aristova, High School North; and Kimberly Li, South, received Robert C. Byrd scholarships. Only 175 students received this national honor.##M:[more]##

The $1,”500 scholarships honors students who are among the top academic performers in their graduating classes. The recipients were selected from a pool of more than 1,”600 New Jersey nominees. Final selections were based upon grade point average, SAT scores, class rank, course difficulty, grades in advanced placement classes and advanced placement tests, and other factors that can be determined by a review of student transcripts.
