The American Heart Association in Robbinsville received a two-year $100,000 grant from The Horizon Foundation in May.

The grant is set to support AHA’s efforts to enroll people from diverse New Jersey communities in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties, into programs to manage hypertension, improve dietary choices and increase cardiovascular awareness.

The Horizon Foundation awarded AHA and four other organizations grants at the Horizon Connect at the East Gate Shopping Center in Moorestown. The grants support the New Jersey Heart Healthy Multicultural Initiatives.

The foundation is part of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, which is the state’s oldest and largest health insurer.
