The schedule and the latest set of plans were offered up by state Department of Transportation officials at a recent public forum at town hall. Final plans for the $9.7 million project are expected to be released in November of this year.

The current design calls for the replacement of the original bridge with a wider span that will feature a six-foot sidewalk to increase pedestrian access and a traffic circle called a “roundabout.”

Work on the project is expected to take 16 months.
