Ability Tree New Jersey hosted its annual Christmas Party at the Robbinsville Senior Center on December 12, 2015. More than 200 guests from across the state shared a meal, created crafts, played games and offered prayers of joy and thankfulness.

Volunteers from a half dozen local organizations, including Lifetree Community Church, Saint Gregory’s G.R.A.C.E. Ministry, Robbinsville U12 Travel Softball Team, Sidekicks Support Services and Golden Halo Ministry all contributed something special to make the afternoon a memorable one for the participating families. Food for the event was generously donated by Hamilton Chick-fil-A and SadieCake’s Café in Robbinsville.

A faith-based, community-focused organization, Ability Tree New Jersey envisions families impacted by disability being accepted and supported in their local community, and enjoying healthy relationships in their neighborhoods, schools, workplaces and churches. Ability Tree reaches out to families with special needs through recreation, education, support, and training (R.E.S.T.).

Robbinsville resident Dr. Natalie Schuberth, a practicing psychotherapist and Ability Tree New Jersey’s Team Leader, worked with a great team to organize the Christmas celebration. Schuberth and her team plan to host additional events throughout the year as the organization grows.
