A Night of Follies at Bear Creek

Village Grande featured 70 talented residents in their first variety show, “The Bare Creek Follies.” The five original committee members included Iris Goldin, Danny Bendavid, Andrea Pitluk, Gary Weisser, and Donna Muroff. Carolyn Marks, a former Rockette, then joined them. Formed in February, the group planned and rehearsed for months to organize the three-night December show open only to residents, family, and friends of the cast.

Committee members included Donna Muroff, director and choreographer; Iris Goldin, executive producer; and associate producers Danny Bendavid, Andrea Pitluk, and Gary Weisser. The support staff included Allen Deitch, Clyde Hall, Phyllis Hall, Marcia Leventhal, Joel Muroff, Claudia Soch, Jim Soch, Mary Ann Weisser, and Ruth Worms.

Peter Worms was master of ceremonies and introduced acts including the Menopause Madams, the Retirement Village People, and the Grandettes. Cast members included Mary Allen, Ron Allen, Eleanor Altman, Sal Astarita, Debbie Baker, George Baker, Ruth Becker, Danny Bendavid, Marty Bernstein, Morris Blatt, and Mary Ellen Blette. Also, Mike Canner, Harriet Cannon, Dolores DiTeresi, Don Dwyer, Barbara Ettman, Miles Ettman, Milt Forman, Janice Frankel, Iris Goldin, Bonnie Heller, Len Hittner, and John Hsu.

Also, Judy Kaye, Richard Kaye, Sally Keenan, Amy Lerner, Sid Levy, Barbara Marcus, Vinnie Marino, Carolyn Marks, Mark Meade, Terry Meade, Gary Mincieli, Lee Minzter, and Donna Muroff. Also, Dolores Occhipinti, Judy Panizza, Sandy Phillips, Kim Pierson, Paul Pitluk, Dolores Rosko, John Rosko, and Sandy Russell.

Also, Jerry Sherman, Shirley Sherman, Toby Shor, Renee Solnik, Victor Stein, Irene Stern, Sharon Sternbach, Mary Sullivan, Pat Tucker, and Kathy Volente. Also, Anne Weidler, Gary Weisser, Sally Westbrook, Peter Worms, and Janet Zevi.

“The Bare Creek Follies was an extravaganza that enriched all our lives,” said Andrea Pitluk. Proceeds will be used for future enhancements to the clubhouse.
