All sorts of buzz in the dining neighborhood these days: Local Greek, the popular new BYO restaurant on Leigh Avenue is said to be opening a takeout place at 20 Nassau Street.

Two Sevens has just opened its private dining room beneath its new Latin-inspired bistro on Witherspoon Street. Witherspoon Grill might expand into the space formerly occupied by Rouge boutique at Hinds Plaza. And rooftop dining is open at Blue Point Grill.

Meanwhile, over on Bayard Lane, the buzz has turned into reality. A group of real estate investors who also own the the Washington Crossing Inn has purchased the Peacock Inn and reopened both the 16-room hotel and its restaurant and bar.

The owners, known as Genesis Hospitality, planned to re-open the doors on Memorial Day weekend, with a full dinner menu, as well as breakfast, lunch, and Sunday brunch, and — coming soon — tea time. www.peacockinn.com.
