Love Letters set for Feb. 15-17

M. Kitty Getlik of Hamilton and Walter Smyth of Trevose, Pa. in Love Letters. The play is set for Feb. 15 through 17 at MCCC’s Kelsey Theatre.

Kelsey Theatre is set to present Love Letters Feb. 15 through 17.

M&M productions will perform the play 8 p.m. Feb. 15 and 16 and 2 p.m. Feb. 17 at the theater, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor.

A.R. Gurney’s Pulitzer Prize nominated play is about a 50-year relationship conducted through letters. Free-spirited artist Melissa Gardner and lawyer Andrew Makepeace Ladd III write to each other from summer camps, college, war zones, and into their adult life about dreams, ambitions, victories and defeats.

In 1999, the play was adapted into a television movie featuring Steven Weber and Laura Linney.

Love Letters is directed by Mike DiIorio of Hamilton and features M. Kitty Getlik of Hamilton as Melissa and Walter Smyth of Trevose, Pa. as Andrew.

Getlick has worked with Kelsey Theatre for more than 20 years. She is the artistic director and has performed in Annie, Pygmalion, My Fair Lady and The Wizard of Oz.

Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for students and $12 for children.
