D&R Greenway is set to host a reception and discussion with DanceSpora’s founders Jan. 31.

Inspired by the Land is set for 7 p.m. at D&R Greenway Land Trust, 1 Preservation Place, Princeton.

DanceSpora’s founders and dancers David and Heidi Cruz-Austin will discuss creating Dancescapes, an outdoor performance with Rebop jazz ensemble last autumn.

DanceSpora is a contemporary dance company founded by Pennsylvania Balley alumni Heidi Austin-Cruz and hip-hop dancer David Austin. It is the resident dance company of Passage Theatre in Trenton.

Dancescapes was commissioned by D&R Greenway and Passage Theatre.

The choreography was inspired by the natural setting it was performed in.

Photographer Ed Greenblatt photographed DanceSpora’s rehearsals and performances at Hopewell’s St. Michaels Preserve and Trenton’s Cadwalader Park. The photos are on display through Feb. 15 at D&R Greenway’s Urban Landscapes exhibition.
