Student artwork selected for contest

Trenton resident and Princeton Learning Cooperative student Abbas Wiswall’s photograph The March. He was selected as a Drexel University’s High School Photography Contest artist, his work is set to be displayed Feb. 2 through March 1, 2013 at the university’s gallery.

A Trenton resident’s artwork is set to be displayed in Drexel University’s photography gallery.

Princeton Learning Cooperative student, Abbas Wiswall was selected as an artist in the 2012 Drexel University High School Photography Contest.

1,800 high school students across the country submitted photographs. 140 artist were selected to exhibit their work at the university’s gallery, judges chose six winners from the selection.

Wiswall has been focusing on photography for less than a year and has no formal training.

His work is set to be on display at the gallery on the fourth floor of Paul Peck Problem Solving and Research, 101 North 33rd St., Philadelphia, Pa.

The exhibition is set to open Feb. 2 and close March 1. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
