Weinfield, Liu, and Chan graduated from High School South, Class of 2001. Haller and Nowak both graduated from High School North, Class of 2003.

Weinfield, now a freelancing oboist, graduated from Northwestern University and the Cleveland Institute of Music with degrees in oboe performance. She has attended Aspen, Kent, Blossom, and Spoleto music festivals.

Liu, who attended the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, is currently pursuing a doctorate in violin performance at the University of Maryland.

Haller graduated from Northwestern with a degree in violin performance. Currently based in Chicago, she is performing with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra and the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra.

Chan graduated with a bachelors and masters degree in viola performance from New York University. A freelance musician based in New York City, she plays with the Astoria Symphony and the Chelsea Symphony. She also maintains a private violin and viola lesson studio.

Nowak, who graduated from Ithaca College majoring in music education, is teaching in upstate New York.

The ensemble, comprised of musicians who shared their love of music as high school students, plan to return that gift to their hometown annually.
