Princeton Academy students welcomed a visit from an award-winning illustrator and a cupcake truck.

Illustrator and author DyAnne DiSalvo spoke to students about her trademark theme “helping neighborhoods,” which has been featured on the show Reading Rainbow, April 15.

In addition, DiSalvo talked about her journey to success, revealed little known facts about some of her popular books, such as Sloppy Copy Pick Up, and imparted tricks of the creative trade to the student body.

Princeton Academy hosts a visiting author each year.

The next week, PAPA, the school’s parent organization, surprised students with a sweet treat by having Trenton-based cupcake truck Stace of Cakes set up shop on campus on April 22.
