The Sunnybrae 9U All Star Team went undefeated (10-0) in two tournaments this summer.

Going 4-0 in the first tournament in West End, the team defeated Bordentown 15-3, East Windsor 9-5, Ewing 4-3, and won their championship game against Ewing with a score of 15-10.

The boys worked hard with the help of big hitters Nick Conti and Matt Morris, the pitching of Josh Klena, and a strong defensive performance.

The boys continued to play hard in the East Windsor tournament going 6-0 with wins against West Windsor 14-3, Nottingham 18-3, Lawrence A 4-0, Lawrence B 11-1, Ewing 5-1, and Lawrence A again in a nail biting seven inning championship game 7-6.

The team was led by the pitching of a complete game by Josh Klena, Anthony O’Rourke with 1 win and 3 saves, and Joey Maglione with 4 saves. The offense was led by Max Pelzer and AJ Zuccarello.

The boys worked together and showed excellent sportsmanship throughout the course of each tournament.
