Howell Farm is accepting applications for parent/child enrollment in its winter Farmhands Program beginning Feb. 7.

The program is designed to introduce children to life on the farm. Children participating will have the opportunity to help care for animals, help farmers in the barns and field and join in farm craft programs and games.

One parent must volunteer time helping the Howell Farm staff work with visitors to the farm in exchange for one child’s participation in the program. No experience is necessary.

The Farmhands Program is for children ages 6 to 8 and 9 to 12. It runs on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for 9 to 12 year olds and from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. for 6 to 8 year olds.

To register, parents must attend an organization meeting on Saturday, January 31 at 9 a.m. in the Howell Farm Visitor Center.

Howell Farm is located at 70 Woodens Lane in Lambertville.
