The William Trent House Museum will host an ice cream social on May 31 from 1-3 p.m. The event includes free house tours, children’s colonial games and activities and free ice cream with a toppings bar.

This is the museum’s second ice cream social. The first ice cream social was held in 2014 on the 75th anniversary of the historic house’s first opening as a museum. This year’s ice cream social will close out the William Trent House Museum’s 75th anniversary year.

The William Trent House Museum was built in 1719 and is the oldest building in the state capital. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is restored and furnished as it would have been in the early 18th century.

The museum is open for guided tours Wednesday-Sunday from 12:30-4 p.m. It is located at 15 Market Street in Trenton.
