Brian Patterson, above, a chemistry teacher at High School South, has been selected by the Princeton and Trenton sections of the American Chemical Society to receive the 2009 Outstanding High School Chemistry Teacher Award. When he is honored at an awards ceremony at Princeton University on Thursday, May 14, he will receive a plaque and a check for $250.##M:[more]##

Stacy Harfenist, a senior at High School North, and Alp Yurter, a senior at South, have been named semifinalists in the 2009 Presidential Scholars Program. Semifinalists are selected on the basis of superior achievements, leadership qualities, personal character, and involvement in community and school activities. Final selection will be announced in May.
