Pirate Frosh Takes State Title

Freshman Rebecca Lewinson led the High School South swim team to an undefeated regular season, a Mercer County Championship, and to the finals of the NJSIAA Group IV Tournament. ##M:[more]##

Lewinson won the 100 breaststroke at the state Meet of Champions on March 4 and set a new school record with a time of 1:06.02. She finished 11th in the 200 individual medley. She and fellow freshman Meredith Ketchmark, junior Paola Simon, and senior Kate Winters finished second in the 400 free relay and set a school record at 3:38.7. The same swimmers finished fourth in the 200 medley relay at the MOC. Ketchmark finished 15th in the 500 freestyle, and Winters was 17th in the 100 backstroke. WW-P North’s Raquel Riestra finished 26th in the 50 free.
