Plainsboro resident Karen Smith-Moore, a medical representative with Roche, received the company’s Special Achievement Award for her commitment to patient care and outstanding sales performance. The award recognizes individuals whose accomplishments have greatly exceeded expectations.

“Since 2006 was my first full year in the pharmaceutical industry, I am honored and delightfully surprised to be the recipient of the Special Achievement Award,” said Smith-Moore. “It is particularly gratifying to have been given an opportunity and receive recognition for living up to the expectations of my manager and colleagues, in addition to being a viable member of a division that is consistently ‘at the top of their game’ and set the standard for excellence.”

Born in Jersey City, she was raised in Vauxhall and Union. She has a bachelor of fine arts degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Her role of pharmaceutical representative is to act as liaison between the pharmaceutical company and the healthcare provider imparting comprehensive product information which has been approved by the FDA.
