West Windsor Community Farmers Market to host summer events

The West Windsor Community Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. rain or shine until the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The market is located in the Vaughn Drive Parking Lot of the southbound side of the Princeton Junction Train Station. For GPS direction, use 2 Vaughn Drive in West Windsor.

Fifteen of Central New Jersey’s best farms and eleven artisan vendors gather weekly to bring a wide array of local products to the market for West Windsor and neighboring town residents to enjoy. Locally grown fruit, vegetables, mushroom, pastured meats and poultry, dairy and farm fresh eggs can be found at the market along with wover fiber products, breads, baked goods, flowers, plants, honey, prepared foods, soap, sauces, jams, pickled vegetables and wine.

Breakfast and brunch selections include Jammin’ Crepe’s famous crepes, The Feed Truck’s savory egg sandwiches, along with freshly made juices from Tico’s Juice Truck.

On June 13, three of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North’s musical groups will perform at the market. The Nonet strings, the Steel Drum Band and a capella group Out of the Blue return for their annual market music day.

Several events can be experienced on June 20 at the WWCFM. Yoga event with sponsor Yoga Soul invites participants to bring a yoga mat to the market at 9 a.m. to join in and welcome summer. At 10 a.m. Master Gardener, Susan Gange of Stony Brook Orchids will insturct market goes on orchid repotting. Blueberry harvest permitting, the market will host its first ever blueberry pie contest. Featured in her new book, New Jersey Fresh, Four Seasons From Farm to Table, the market welcomes food writer, chef and culinary instructor Rachel Weston on June 27. Weston will be on site to sell, sign and chat about her new book.
