For School Board: Yingchao Zhang

Share post:

With a PhD in nuclear physics, Dr. Yingchao Zhang has immaculate educational credentials. But “YZ,” as he is known, is more than just a person with good education. YZ in fact, is an all-rounder. His one-man-band is well known in the community. He is extremely interested in art, culture, and sports. He is apolitical, his only dream being to be a contributor to the improvement of the community.

I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing YZ for the last seven years. Our kids went to school together and were part of the same Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops. We spent a great deal of time at camps and other events. I have no hesitation in giving him my support for the school board.

YZ understands the education system and with young kids at home, he is experiencing it firsthand. He can see areas where adjustments can be made to give our kids an even better and global education. We are living in an interconnected world, and YZ realizes that. Being a technologist, he also has practical ideas to bring more beneficial technology to the classroom. This will ensure our kids always have an edge to be among the best. YZ was the board chair at the local Chinese School and displayed his acumen there.

YZ brings with him great managerial experience, which will help him guide our kids to be model global citizens.

I have known Yingchao “YZ” Zhang for more than four years, having met him when our children were in Boy Scouts together. I have found him to be a pleasant, prudent, and kind person who always volunteered to help out. I have no doubt that he will serve our schools in an intelligent, consensus-driven manner that befits our community.
