MLK birthday celebration set for Feb. 21

The fifth annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration is set for Jan. 21.

The commemoration is part of a day-long series of activities presented by Lighthouse Outreach Ministries, Positive Force Productions and Local Wisdom Media and Communications.

Trenton Inauguration Watch and M.L. King, Jr. Birthday Celebration is set for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Lighthouse Outreach Center, 715 Bellevue Ave., Trenton.

The groups said activities will include the commemoration, live streaming video of the presidential inaguration, panel discussion, a keynote address by the president of the Trenton Board of Education and a vendors bazaar.

Rev. Wayne Griffith, founder of Lighthouse Outreach Center is set to be the Master of Ceremony.

Mercer County Community College professor, Alvyn Haywood is set to moderate the panel discussion.

Positive Force Productions said the event is free and asks participants to RSVP online at pforceproductions.com.
