Starbucks is coming to Robbinsville, after the township’s Technical Review Committee approved a plan Nov. 3 to build a franchise on Route 33.

The building will be located on Route 33 East across the highway from the new municipal building. It will have both a cafe and a drive-thru. The plan still needs full board approval, which should be coming shortly. Robbinsville Mayor Dave Fried estimated the township’s Starbucks should be open before the end of 2017.

“It will happen quickly,” Fried said, “because the site work is already done.”

The Starbucks will be on a pad site next to the newly constructed daycare center on Route 33, adjacent to Washington Liquors. The foundation for that site is already laid, Fried said.
