To mark the completion of a redevelopment and expansion project at Quaker Bridge Mall, the center is set to host a series of celebratory activities in December.

The multi-million dollar renovation project, which began in early 2012, offers area shoppers enhanced amenities such as new flooring, soft seating areas, updated exteriors, a new dining pavilion and more than 50 new retailer and dining options.

New stores and restaurants include Sur La Table, The Art of Shaving, Soma Intimates, White House Black Market, Michael Kors and Brio Tuscan Grille.

Celebratory activities are scheduled to begin 8:30 a.m. Dec. 7 with a family-friendly Breakfast with Santa event at Brio Tuscan Grille, followed by giveaways and dancing with the Radio Disney crew in the JCPenney Court at 11 a.m.

Reservations are required for Breakfast with Santa. Participants can make reservations by calling (609) 799-3169.

Mall-wide entertainment is set to continue from 2 to 5 p.m. with shoppers enjoying an array of activities and treats from face-painters and balloon artists to a jazz ensemble and local choirs.

Additionally, the mall is set to offer a free gift, while supplies last, to shoppers who provide a total of $250 worth of receipts from any combination of retailers and restaurants.

The celebration is set to continue Dec. 14, with the shopping center giving away goodie bags to the first 500 customers with non-perishable food or monetary donations for Mercer Street Friends Food Bank by The Cheesecake Factory at 10 a.m.

There will also be a silent auction featuring gift baskets from Godiva and Starbucks and gift cards from Forever21 and the Cheesecake Factory. Proceeds are set to benefit Mercer Street Friends Food Bank, a local food bank supplying more than three million pounds of food annually to more than 60 organizations in Mercer County.

Shoppers will also have the opportunity to participate in an hourly prize giveaway, which includes a grand prize of tickets for two to see One Direction in London including hotel accommodations and airfare, sponsored by 94.5 PST.
