The village of Lawrenceville is now home to another new business.

Melz Salon and Spa, a full service multi-cultural salon specializing in the art of hair replacement, recently opened at 2687 Main St. under owner and Lawrence resident Melissa Gaunt.

Gaunt first opened Melz Salon in Middlesex County in 2008 to fulfill a client base from the tri-state area. Now, four years later, she opted to relocate to her home town, where she has lived with her family for the past 12 years. Because of her positive experience raising her two children in the community, Gaunt hoped to give back to the town with her service as a local business owner.

Gaunt has been in the beauty business for 27 years. Her specialty is in hair restoration (hair replacement and enhancement) and supporting fellow hairstylists. She noted that her staff members each specialize in diverse hair textures and styling.

Gaunt follows the mantra, “We do it all. Diversity is the twist.”

Melz Salon is set to offer all services at its newly renovated location, 2687 Main St. in Lawrenceville. Phone: (609) 512-1765 or (609) 512 -1767. Email: melzsalon@gmail.com. On the Web: search Melz Salon on Facebook.
