Visit area museums for free using Hamilton Free Public Library passes

The Hamilton Free Public Library has expanded its walls to include Grounds for Sculpture, Battleship New Jersey and the Intrepid Air, Sea and Space Museum.

Through a program sponsored by the Friends of the Hamilton Library, patrons can reserve passes to visit area museum for free.

Each pass allows entrance for two adults and up to five children.

Participating museums are Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, Battleship New Jersey in Camden, Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill, Roebling Museum in Roebling, Bucks County Children’s Museum in New Hope, Pa., the Intrepid Air, Sea and Space Museum in New York and the National Liberty, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Morris Arboretum museums in Philadelphia.

Passes can be reserved up to 90 days in advance online or by calling the circulation desk at (609) 581-4060 extension 4001.

Once reserved, passes are available for pick up at the library at 3 p.m. a day prior to the day of use. Passes must be returned by 11 a.m. two days after the day of use.

The fine for an overdue museum pass is $10 per day.

Failure to pick up a pass two times within a 60 day period results in a two month block on museum pass reservation.
