Trenton Catholic Academy basketball player Erin Garner signed a letter of intent with Georgia Tech on Nov. 13.

The Hamilton resident is set to attend the Atlanta-based Division I school in the fall.

Garner was also recruited by Syracuse and Louisville but chose Georgia Tech because the players and coaches “made (her) feel right at home.”

Garner, who said she has been playing basketball since age four, joined the Lady Mikes as a junior. She was a key player in the team’s 2013 Non-Public B State Championship run.

This year, Garner is the only senior on the team. Garner said she is read to assume a leadership role.

Garner’s father, Urian, served as his daughter’s AAU coach for many years.
