Students from McGalliard Elementary School lent a hand in making Mayor Kelly Yaede’s office festive Dec. 12.

Art classes made ornaments for the mayor’s office Christmas tree. McGalliard Elementary School principal Nathan Webber planned to deliver the decorations next week.

“I couldn’t think of a better way to decorate the mayor’s Christmas tree than by having the ornaments made by our community’s elementary school students. I want the children of Hamilton to have a presence in our town’s holiday festivities and celebrations,” Yaede said.

The township said the tree will be on display inside the front entrance of the municipal building. Additionally, the township plans to display a gingerbread house that was decorated by students in the Hamilton YMCA’s Young Wonders Preschool Program.
