Two Mercer County Girl Scouts completed Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing’s religious award program.

Emma Tulotta of Hamilton and Julia Campbell of Ewing participated in Religion in Life: Girls, which takes about nine months to complete and has more than 40 requirements involving religious study, service and reflection.

During the program, the girls conducted an accessibility survey of the church building and baked desserts for homeless children who come to UUCWC on Monday nights for tutoring and a hot dinner. They also learned about their religious and Girl Scout heritages.

The girls completed the program with Ellen Alt of Newtown, Pa. All three joined the Religion in Life Alumnae group, which consists of girls from fourth grade through college freshmen who get together for service, educational, spiritual and fellowship activities.
