Tellabration 2016, a benefit storytelling concert and workshop for adults and young adults sponsored by the Garden State Storytellers League, will take place at the Hamilton Township Library on Sunday, Nov. 20, from 1-5 p.m.

During the workshop, storyteller Oni Lasana will perform as Granny Goose, Lias’ Mother, Nana Aesop, and Mama Earth telling story poems by African-American poet Paul Laurence Dunbar, fables by Aesop, and an environmental/recycling story of the recycling women of Gambia.

The concert features Charlie Zahm, folk musician and a master of the guitar and Bodhran Celtic drum. Zahm will sing Celtic and Maritime songs as well as original songs to honor our American military men and women. Featured Garden State storytellers Dr. Keith Figgs (retired Assistant Superintendent of Vineland Schools) and Helen Peterson (retired N.J. ESL educator, bilingual storyteller, and performance poet) will tell stories at the concert.

Admission is $20 for concert and workshop, and $10 for concert only. Proceeds will be donated to Patrick S. Biddulph Foundation for Leukemia Research and Hamilton Township Library Trust Fund.
