PEAC Health & Fitness is set to host a collection for the Rescue Mission of Trenton.

The Rescue Mission’s collection truck will be parked in PEAC’s parking lot from 9 to 11 a.m Jan. 29. Donors can bring items directly to the truck.

According to Rescue Mission representatives, the organization is always in need of cold weather clothing such as coats, gloves, hats and scarves. Other needed items include clothing, shoes, pajamas, undergarments, business suits and professional attire, linens and towels, house wares and furniture.

They will not accept sofa beds, mattresses, wall units, baby toys, high chairs, pack-and-plays and cribs.

All clothing donations go directly to the Rescue Mission, either to be sold in the Mission Store at 100 Carroll Street or given to needy members in the community through the organization’s courtesy shop.

The Rescue Mission of Trenton is the agency in the city of Trenton that serves the men and women who have no place to turn for shelter, food, and clothing.

The organization also offers a free at-home pickup service for donations of furniture and clothing. More information is online at rmtrenton.org.

PEAC is located at 1440 Lower Ferry Road, Ewing.
