PEAC Health & Fitness will recognize Men’s Health Awareness Month by hosting various activities to promote men’s wellness in June 2014.

During June, all men will be able to participate in any of PEAC’s scheduled 30-minute TRXpress sessions at no charge. TRX is a suspension training program that utilizes specially designed straps and the users own body weight to perform hundreds of exercises that focus on strength, flexibility and core stability. Pre-registration is required.

On June 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. and on June 11 from 8 to 9 a.m., Evan Orchnik, director of PEAC Performances and certified strength and conditioning specialists will offer 15-minute ACL Injury Risk Assessments for men. Pre-registration is required.

On June 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Kelsey Eichlin, a wellness and lifestyle coach, will provide samples of post-workout snacks.

In addition, from June 9 through 15, PEAC staff will wear blue to show their support of Men’s Health Awareness. The week prior to Father’s Day was dedicated as Men’s Health Week by President Clinton in 1994. 2014 marks its 20th anniversary.

PEAC is located at 1440 Lower Ferry Road, Ewing.
