Frontier Airlines is set to expand its service at Trenton-Mercer Airport with the addition another destination.

Starting May 2, Frontier plans to offer non-stop service to Northeast Florida Regional Airport in St. Augustine/Jacksonville. To celebrate this announcement, Frontier is offering fares as low as $49 each way if purchased by Feb. 8.

In fall 2013, Mercer County’s Trenton-Mercer Airport underwent a multi-million dollar overhaul, the bulk of it paid for through federal grant dollars. The airport reopened Nov. 8.

Frontier is the only airline providing scheduled service out of Trenton-Mercer Airport.

The addition of St. Augustine brings Frontier’s total nonstop destinations served from Trenton-Mercer Airport to 14; including Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago-Midway, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Indianapolis, Nashville, Orlando, Raleigh-Durham and Tampa.

Frontier has scheduled three weekly flights between Trenton-Mercer Airport and St. Augustine. Frontier flights from Trenton-Mercer operate on 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft.
