Mercer County Office of Economic Development and Sustainability is set to offer two business seminars and a workshop series for start-ups and small to mid-size businesses.
Programs are offered through partnerships with the Small Business Development Center and the UCEDC.
At How to Start a Business A-Z, instructors are set to discuss how to organize and properly run a new or existing businesses. Topics will include legal formation, business ownership options, financial management, insurance issues, marketing and business planning.
The workshop is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. May 15 at the Robbinsville branch of the Mercer County Library System, 42 Robbinsville-Allentown Road.
QuickBooks Intro Seminar speakers are set to discuss how to to bill clients, track vendor bills, manage inventory and create professional invoices and estimates using QuickBooks solutions.
The seminar is scheduled for 5:30 to 8 p.m. May 21 at Hamilton Township Free Public Library, 1 Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. Way.
The County partnered with the UCEDC, a statewide small business lender and training provider, to offer an intensive six-week workshop for start-up businesses called Entrepreneurship 101
Speakers are set to guided participants through a real-world assessment of their business ideas and their ability to handle the demands of business ownership. The steps to opening a business in New Jersey, choosing a legal structure, developing a business plan and establishing cost, revenue and cash flow projections are set to be addressed through of interactive exercises.
The next session is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. May 20 p.m. at the county’s Dempster Fire Training Academy, 350 Lawrence Station Road, Lawrence.
