Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes and the Mercer County Park Commission recently announced that Mercer County Park Festival Grounds has been chosen by the Professional Engineers Society of Mercer County as “2014 Project of the Year.”

The Festival Grounds at Mercer County Park in West Windsor encompasses more than 200,000 square feet of venue space with a 2,200-square-foot, state-of-the-art performing arts stage with a wide array of electrical, lighting, sound and rigging capabilities. The Festival Grounds hosts numerous community events throughout the year such as the Indo-American, Irish, Italian-American and Mercer County cultural festivals; the Park Commission’s annual Freedom Festival and Mercer County Park Summer Concert Series; and the largest dog show on the East Coast, Trenton Kennel Club Dog Show. In 2014, the festival grounds were among the main venues for the Special Olympics 2014 National Games.
