MCCC to host annual African Violet Show

The 63rd annual Under the Big Top Garden State African Violet Club Show is set to be held at Mercer County Community college on May 3 from 12 to 4 p.m. and May 4 from 11 to 3 p.m.

The show will be hosted by MCCC’s horticulture program and will be held in the student center faculty/staff dining room on the college’s West Windsor campus.

This year’s show is circus-themed and arrangements will be inspired by clowns, jugglers and trapeze performers.

Workshops will be held including one called Hybridizing African Violets on May 3 at 2 p.m. and another called Growing Tips and Tricks on May 4 at 1 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

MCCC is located at 1200 Old Trenton Road.
