Lawrence and West Windsor students win Conservation Education poster contest

West Windsor student, Cassie Wang, won the Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Committee Conservation’s poster contest on May 23 in Trenton.

Wang won first place in the Grades 2-3 category. She received a certificate and a $200 prize for illustrating this year’s theme, “Where Does Your Water Shed?”

Her poster is set to be entered in the National Association of Conservation Districts Conservation Poster Contest. The national winners will be announced at the NACD annual meeting scheduled for February 2014 in in Anaheim, Ca.

Other winners include Jessie Liang of West Windsor, whose poster came in second place in the Grades 4-6 category and Sonia Borlaug of Lawrenceville, who took second place in the Grades 10-12 category.
