On September 20, teams of parents and their kids participated in Robbinsville’s first annual Local Business Scavenger Hunt at Foxmoor and Town Center plazas.

Around 75 participants followed clues that led them to a dozen local shops including Maggie Moos, where they sampled ice cream, Body Project Fitness, where they picked up dieting and exercise tips and Bricks 4 Kids.

Other participating businesses included AfterOurs Urgent Care, Air-Mods Flight & Service Center, All for Dance, Bundle of Paws Photography, Calm Waters Wellness & Yoga Center, Centro Grille, Champion Collision, The Chocolate Box, Cocoa Beach Tanning Salon, Connections Gymnastics, David Bradley Chocolates, Friendly’s, FunniBonz BBQ, Lunch Balancer.com, Moms Club of Robbinsville, Organo Gold, Pinky Toes Party Palace, Reid Sound, SadieCake Cupcakes, Santino’s Pizza, Take 5 Gourmet, Van Smyth Design, Walgreens and Washington Wellness Center.

The idea for the scavenger hunt came from Councilman Ron Witt, who worked with the economic development and recreation committees to bring his idea to life.

After the hunt, participants gathered back at the Town Center Lake Gazebo where the Township provided hot dogs and hamburgers.

In addition, more Robbinsville-based businesses raffled off prizes to the teams that completed the hunt.
