Two seventh graders from Chapin School received honors for their entries in the Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards are presented by The Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent.

Jeffrey Tao of Lawrenceville was given the Silver Key award for his piece “Whisper,” a portrait of his grandfather who passed away several years ago.

Harper Usiskin of Hopewell received an honorable mention for her drawing “Gaze Upon Reality.”

Both works were entered in the Drawing and Illustration category and were done with pencil on paper.
