Smashburger to give away free burgers

Smashburger is set to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day by giving away free burgers.

The restaurant plans to give away free Classic Smashburgers 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 18 at its new restaurant in Lawrenceville.

The Lawrenceville restaurant, located at 3321 Route 1 South across from Quaker Bridge Mall, is also set to celebrate its opening with a ribbon cutting by Creative Marketing Alliance president and CEO Jeffrey Barnhart, whose company promotes Lawrenceville Smashburger, along with local government officials and MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce officials.

Smashburger Lawrenceville is owner by franchisee Ashish Parikh, who plans to open another location in East Windsor this fall.

Parikh’s other two Smashburger restaurants—which are located in Voorhees and Cherry Hill—will also participate in the National Cheeseburger Day giveaway event on Sept. 18.

Smashburger has more than 280 restaurant locations across the U.S. Resturants also offer grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches and fresh-tossed salads, rosemary and garlic seasoned Smashfries, Haystack Onions and Veggie Frites .
