Princeton Brass Band to present Championship Concert

Rider University’s Princeton Brass Band is set to present its Championship Concert on March 23 at 2 p.m. at the Bart Luedeke Center Theater.

The program will feature Edward Gregson’s Symphony in Two Movements and arrangements of Amazing Grace, Shepherd’s Song and John Williams’ epic themes from Star Wars, Jaws and Superman.

The Princeton Brass Band draws players from Philadelphia and New York as well as New Jersey. In 2008 the band was invited to become the ensemble-in-residence at Rider University where it gives a regular concert series.

The band is directed by Stephen Arthur Allen, a professor of music at Rider.

Admission is free.

The Bart Luedeke Center Theater is on the campus of Rider University located at 2038 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville.
