The Woman’s Club of Lawrenceville is accepting applications for the Mary Darwin Heath Memorial Scholarship.

In existence for more than 70 years, it was initiated by Ms. Heath, a faculty wife at The Lawrenceville School.

Each year, the $2,000 scholarship is awarded to a young woman who is a high school senior and resident of Lawrence Township.

The scholarship committee considers the applicant’s academic standing, financial need and character. A personal interview is required.

Applications are available in the guidance offices of Lawrence High School, The Lawrenceville School and Notre Dame High School. Applications are also available from Dawn Buxton Monsport at (609) 462-8333 or dawnmonsport@verizon.com.

Completed applications and official transcripts must be submitted by April 1. The club plans to announce the recipient by May 15.
